It’s Halloween-a-palooza at our house this week.? Are you a big celebrator of holidays like this one?? My kiddos are going nuts for any distracting crafts keeping them at bay until Halloween and the massive drop of candy this weekend.
I’m doing my best to oblige.

This is the easiest craft known to man.? Easy pumpkin craft for Halloween?? Check.
Oranges with Jell-O brains?? Check, check.

Supplies for Orange pumpkins:
2 packages of Jell-O3 or 4 big Orangesparing knifespoon
Make your Jell-O.? I chose red because I wanted red Jell-O brains.? I mean, they don’t sell grey Jell-O, so red seemed like the next logical option.
Follow the directions on the box for Jell-O jigglers.? It’s basically just really stiff Jell-O, using about half the water.? Once it’s set {4 hours or overnight}, you’ll have really non-jiggly stuff for making brains.
Put it off to the side while we get carving.

Pretend your Orange is a pumpkin.? Go Pumpkin Zen on me for a minute.

You’re going to cut off a slice on the bottom so it will stay upright while you work.

Now cut the top off and start scooping out the innards.
Gross.
Also? Awesome.

Now carve that little baby up like you would a pumpkin.? However, *cough, cough* Oranges are much easier to carve, and you have a tiny tiny itty bitty space to carve so be careful with your knife.
I may have mangled an Orange or two in the process.

Now’s the time for your Jell-O to shine.? Carve it up into little cubes.? They don’t tear at all if you’ve done it right, and I know you’ll do it right.

Now fill ‘er up.

An Orange pumpkin treat filled with Jell-O brains, for whatever occasion you deem appropriate.
